shatteredhunter:

the girl only served to affirm his lack
of any sense of direction, a sigh
that showed none other than sheer
frustration escaping his lips. he
could drive just fine, but when he
wasn’t in his usual comfort zone,
he had no clue where he was going.

listening intently to the instructions
she provided him with, he thought
he’d got them down pat, giving her
a nod of his head, a gesture of
gratitude, if anything else. a simple
alright, thanks is leaving his lips
before he knows it, ready to roll
the window up and get going

except he’s completely forgotten
everything she told him already.
had she said the first or second
highway exit? he could only see
himself making an idiot out of
himself and having to ask another
unfortunate soul the same thing.

a huff leaves his lips, before he’s
frantically calling the girl back
with urgent excuse me’s before
she can stray too far from the car.

❝listen, uh.. i’m not exactly good with—
look, let’s jus’say directions aren’ my..
they’re not my strong point. if you’re not
           too busy with anything else—

he can’t help but to peer from the
car window at that point, back to
the spot where she’d been stood
beforehand, presumably waiting
for her next customer. nonetheless,
he returned his gaze to the blonde
soon after, the fleeting thought of
why is she struggling to get hooked
up, when she looks like that?
only briefly crossing his mind.

❝could you tag along? in case i go
the complete wrong way or something.
          — i’ll pay for a cab back for you, promise.❞

the hopeful glint in his eyes, combined
with the sheepish grin makes him look
younger than he actually his, but he still
waits with bated breath, inwardly crossing
his fingers for a yes from her behalf.

❝— you’re joking me, right?

had this been three years ago, she
would’ve completely misconstrued
his embarrassment.she would’ve
gotten her hopes up. now, she's just
fucking angry.

she tries to quiet her curt tone, she
knows that a whore with a bad mouth
gets nothing. in vain, jo tries to keep
the incredulous air from her voice/

look, tell you what. you pay me
twenty and i’ll show you personal.
plus the cab. i have to get back here,
asap.❞

she doesn’t really give him much
chance to say no. her red glossed
lips pop softly on the ’p’. he’s lost,
and she’s hungry. fair trade, in her
eyes.

she straightens to her full height, &
moves along to the passenger side.
unsteady hands smooth down the
back of her barely-there dress she
ducks into the car.

❝make a u-ie. we
have to turn around.❞
